Geriatric Massage

30 minutes: $40

Geriatric massage is a form of massage designed to meet the specific needs of the elderly. It helps to improve blood circulation, relieve pain, and also increase range of motion. If you are elderly, geriatric massage can help you maintain and improve your overall health, as well as regain certain physical functions that have been reduced due to aging. In addition, since the elderly don't typically receive enough physical touch, this massage can also help alleviate symptoms of loneliness or depression.

Swedish Massage

60 minutes: $80

Swedish Massage is a very relaxing and therapeutic style of bodywork. It combines oils or lotion with an array of strokes such as rolling, kneading, and percussion to help the body improve its circulation. The benefits of this type of bodywork are wide-ranging and include relief from aches and pains, decreased stress levels in the body, enhanced mental clarity, improved appearance, and greater flexibility.

Deep Tissue Massage

60 minutes: $85

Deep Tissue Massage is a form of bodywork that aims to relieve tension in the deeper layers of tissue in the body. Deep Tissue Massage is a highly effective method for releasing chronic stress areas due to misalignment, repetitive motions, and past lingering injuries. Due to the nature of the deep tissue work, open communication during the session is crucial to make sure you don't get too uncomfortable. Keep in mind that soreness is pretty common after the treatment, and that plenty of water should be ingested to aid with the flushing and removal of toxins that will have been released from the deep tissue during the session.

Chair Massage

15 minutes: $20

Chair massage is a popular way of relieving stress and releasing tension right in your home or workplace. You receive your massage in a specialized ergonomic chair which I bring to your location. In addition to the usual health benefits of massage, another benefit of chair massage is that it is done over the clothing. With seated massage, you can avoid the discomfort and awkwardness that you may feel in disrobing for a traditional massage. Also, chair massage sessions are usually shorter than traditional massage, making it convenient enough to fit into your busy schedule.

Hot Stone Therapy

60 minutes: $100

Hot Stone Therapy is a style of massage where heated stones are placed at specific sites on your body to deepen relaxation and promote circulation in your muscles. Muscles that are heated with these stones release tension and stress much more deeply and quickly than with a traditional massage. The overall experience is very relaxing, nurturing, and rejuvenating.

Neuromuscular Therapy

60 minutes: $85

Neuromuscular therapy is a system of massage techniques that were developed in the 1930's by Dr. Stanley Lief in England. It uses a holistic approach towards healing, emphasizing and stimulating the body's natural ability to heal itself. Neuromuscular therapy also enhances the function of joints and muscles, and accelerates the overall healing process by facilitating the release of endorphins.

Reflexology

30 minutes: $30

Reflexology is a type of bodywork that focuses on applying pressure to the specific nerve zones in your feet. Unlike other foot massages that intend to mostly relieve tension in the feet themselves, reflexology is a far more in-depth science that aims to harmonize your entire body. According to reflexology, every part of the human body is mapped into your feet. Reflexology treatments have been found to be highly effective for conditions such as allergies, headaches, and depression.

Corporate Chair Massage

60 minutes: $100

Corporate Chair Massage can help reduce a Company's Workers Compensation Claims, as well as sick time and absenteeism costs.

According to the U.S. Department of Labor, Occupational Safety and Health Administration, (OSHA), repetitive strain injuries, such as Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, are the nation's most common and costly occupational health problem, costing more than $20 BILLION dollars a year, in Worker's Compensation Benefits!!

Work related STRESS is out of control these days! Employee perceptions of work conditions can have a big impact on an employer's bottom line.  When employees have positive perceptions about their jobs, the organization benefits by having higher employee retention, increased customer loyalty, and a higher bottom line.

In 2009, Massage Magazine did a report on a pilot study that found that employer-funded massage therapy, resulted in both increased job satisfaction among their workers, as well as a decrease in the severity of pain among employees, and created stress relief  among their employees.  They reported on another study, that showed that Employee Wellness Programs, actually ended up saving their Company's money.

Research done by North Carolina State University, shows that an increase in certain current business practices, such as outsourcing, hiring temporary workers, and focusing on project-based teams, is having a detrimental effect on workers, and likely poses long-term problems and costs for employers.

Their research also showed that people were still doing their jobs, and putting in a lot of hours, but that they were not doing the things that they would do if they were passionate about their jobs.  Employees were withdrawing their loyalty from their employers, and employees were no longer as committed to their employer's goals.

With the changes in the economy over the last several years, many workers have been laid off, and many remaining workers have seen their pay and benefits slashed, while they are expected to pick up the work that the laid off workers were previously doing, on top of their own jobs.  The result of all this, is an increase in work related stress.

Stress is the number one cause of disability, and is the underlying cause of 80-85% of ALL illnesses.  Since work related stress has increased in recent years, employers who have set up Corporate Wellness Programs have taken steps to address the issue.  Frequent massage can reduce the physical and mental effects of stress and help to reduce employee burnout, and stress related diseases.

Some of the Benefits of Corporate Chair Massage are:

    • Increases work place morale

    • Reduces work-related stress

    • Promotes health

    • Decreases repetitive injuries such as Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

    • Reduces Workers Compensation claims

    • Reduces Employee sick time, and absenteeism

    • Improves thinking and awareness

    • Boosts energy, alertness, and productivity

    • Increase job satisfaction and loyalty to employer

I am available for Corporate Chair Massage, and can bring my portable chair, to your work location for on-site, short duration massages, (typically 15 minutes) for each client.  Minimum time commitment is three hours, typically set up during the lunch time hours, and can be done once a week, or more frequently.

Employees can be given a sign-up sheet, to schedule 15 minute appointments, with a 5 minute break between clients.  Chair Massage is done while fully clothed, while clients are sitting down in an ergonomically designed massage chair.  This will allow me to concentrate on the neck, shoulder, and back, which are the areas that are most affected by stress.
